Saturday 21st February – Windsurf * River Orwell at Levington – mainly cloudy with brief glimpse of sun!

Foil – 19.15 knot max, 15.74 knot ave., 3.48 knot hour, 12.49 knot mile, 22.41 km., 12.62 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 (LW) and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Tushingham Bolt 6.5m.

Once again the forecast looked OK a moderate breeze from the WSW, not the best direction for Levington as it makes it lumpy and gusty. Still after 4 poor sessions this year already I had my fingers crossed for an improvement especially when I arrived it was gusting to 23 mph but by the time I was ready to launch with my 6.5 it had dropped and I spent another couple of hours waiting for a gust and getting cold feet, I was pleased to get off the water and warm up my feet in the shower!
